As this was our first time of visiting your farm, we really enjoyed it. One could almost spend the entire day here, and still not see it all.
Thank you for the wonderful jellies and jam that we enjoy so much.
Is there anyway that one can get a copy of the recipe for the oatmeal cookies? They were the best.
Thank you again, and I wish your family the best holiday ever!

Read everything! Wow, who knew, way back in the ’50′s that you two would become farmers after all that palentology work, boiling soil samples on the stove and having your early married beginnings in SD! So happy that you found an avocation that can produce income and not having to become part of the “rat race” in industrial America. Having your family close around is another bonus!
Come and revist the community of your early college education (TL) in addition to once again seeing the Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore…Crazy Horse is interesting monument as well, tho it is unfinished.

A Merry Christmas to the whole bunch of you.

Such an amazing and wonderful website you have and, when I finish this message, I am going to read through it again. What a very special life you are living in Rexeyville, Virginia. How do you do it all?

Dear Jeanne was a student in my third grade class at Oakton Elementary School and very special to me. I was sad to say goodbye at the end of the year and now I am delighted to be in contact again and am amazed at all her fascinating interests. You are indeed an amazing family!

    Fondly,

You are always a part of our Christmas. I gave the weaving I purchased this year to my h.s. BFF, Linda Hansen, who teaches in Boston and has a special vacation place (available for rent) near Franconia Notch in New Hampshire. I’m forwarding your website address to her, so she can share the Oak Shade magic!

Have a great 2012. As your official compost provider, be happy to know that my horses are pooping the raw material as we speak!

    Countless hugs, Cath
